With the VIP status at GN comes one perk of getting express room service! Yay! I love having a little snack when I come back to the room late! So I decided what I would have and pressed the room service button. I could live without the VIP experience again, but the way that I was talked to by two room service employees made me feel horrible and I vowed to never come back to GN to stay again. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I tried to order room service late at night. When we got up to our room, we were happy and could not wait to go to Grotto for supper where the servers actually know about customer service. Did I mention that this time we had to wait about 5 minutes before one of the 4 people even acknowledged us? Not impressed. We went and gambled for a while and then went back to the 'Very Impersonal Personall' Lounge and we were checked in with very little interaction. Again, tell me what the point of paying for this 'VIP' service is? We have been treated better every other time that we have been at GN and now we are paying extra to be treated like a pest? No thank you! We struggled getting our luggage out of the fish tank that they call the VIP lounge and went to the bell desk where we were helped promptly, but still, VIP should have helped us in some way. I then asked if we could leave our bags with her and she told us to go to the bell desk and they would take care of this. It was about 3:30pm and she told us that our room was not ready and she could not tell us when it would be ready. When the lady actually acknowledged us, she was not warm or welcoming at all. We stood there for 10 solid minutes before someone even said hello to us.

When we got to the VIP lounge, there were 3 people behind the desk and one customer that was being helped. At that point, I think we could handle it. When we got out of our cab the bellmen didn't offer help until we were inside the casino after struggling with our 4 pieces of luggage through the doors.

It was our honeymoon so I decided to splurge on the Gold Tower Club Floor with VIP additions. We have stayed in all of the towers at GN and have had great experiences, some that exceeded our wildest dreams, until this trip. We love splitting up our Vegas experience with staying partially on Fremont and then on the Strip.

GN has been our home when we visit Las Vegas, which is usually 2-3 times a year.
